COMMUNICATION
Communication is the key to a productive partnership. As a real estate agent, I know how important it is to keep my clients informed and educated on the various processes, transactions and timelines. I am responsive to your needs and aware that everyone has different experience levels when it comes to the real estate transaction. Along the way, I will provide you with effective, efficient information to ensure you have sufficient knowledge to make decisions.
PROFESSIONALISM
Because I represent my clients, I will never lose sight of your best interests, or lower my values for the sake of a transaction. Real estate transactions can often be very stressful; it is my job to work through the process professionally to keep short-term issues from becoming long-term problems. The buying and selling of your home is a large investment, I will provide market insight and knowledge to help insure your returns are profitable.
COMMUNITY
Community involvement has always been a priority to me. Prior to my career in real estate, I was a social worker in direct service with homeless families. I am acutely aware of the importance of community, housing, and providing opportunities for all. This is the main reason I chose to work with Windermere. As a company, they are very involved in the community and the Windermere Foundation, for which I am the office representative, provides money and resources to many area non-profits and projects. Additionally, I have been a Senior Advisor and mentor to new agents at the Mt. Baker office, and in 2006 and 2007 I was voted a Five Star Agent by Seattle Magazine.
PERSONAL
Raised in Kansas and Nebraska, I moved to Seattle after receiving my degree in Business Administration from the University of Kansas. I later attended the University of Washington and received a Master's in Social Work. The combination of business education and social work experience provide a holistic approach to my real estate business. The strong listening skills and problem solving approaches that I developed as a social worker complement the business skills necessary when negotiating contracts and financial information.
My wife, Marsann, and I have two daughters, Helen and Hazel. A toddler and an infant, a comedian and an observer, that keep us laughing. In addition to being a great mother, Marsann is an Occupational Therapist and works with children with disabilities.
